Onsite

The classic on-site method has been Tape. Modern digital tape systems offer great value for large data amounts. We will setup the hardware, software, file selection and other processes to ensure it runs correctly. Then as with all backup we monitor it toensure it has run correctly every day.

We also offer an IP backup solution to say a Network Storage Device (NAS Box) or to local hard disk drives. With all on-site solutions it is vital you take a copy off-site daily, so if your office suffered from a fire or theft you have the data safely to hand for us to get things up and going for you.

On-site solutions require someone to have the responsibility for ensuring the tapes or HDDs are swapped daily and that a copy is taken off-site. We will advise you on the security surrounding this such as encryption, transport and storage along with Data Protection Act compliance. It’s all part of our service.

Offsite

For a successful off-site service you need to have a good internet connection, something our NameSpace service will sort out for you. The great advantage of this data backup method is its automation, with replicated off-site storage and no daily human involvement. Again we monitor it to ensure it has run correctly every day.
